No Scuffs – Terms & Conditions of Service
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by No Scuffs. By booking or authorising work, the customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Quality of Repair
No Scuffs aims to complete repairs to a standard where they are unnoticeable to anyone unaware of the original damage. As a mobile SMART repair service, all repairs are carried out on-site and outdoors rather than in a controlled body shop environment.
Repair quality may be affected by factors outside of our control, including but not limited to:
Weather conditions
Lighting conditions
Location of the vehicle (e.g. building sites, roadside environments)
Extent, location, and nature of the damage
SMART repairs are localised repairs that involve blending into the existing panel rather than repainting the entire panel. Our objective is for repairs to be unnoticeable from approximately 2 metres. However, some evidence of repair may remain, which is inherent to the SMART repair process.
Not all repairs will achieve the same result, particularly where:
The damage is extensive
The vehicle colour is difficult to match (e.g. pearlescent, tri-coat, or specialist finishes)
A “perfect” or factory-level finish can only be achieved by a high-end body shop operating in a controlled environment, typically at a cost three to five times higher than SMART repair pricing.
2. Colour Matching & Lighting
All repairs are completed in natural daylight. As a result:
Minor colour variation may be visible under artificial or inspection lighting
Pearlescent and metallic colours may show more variation
Where there is a risk of colour mismatch, the customer will always be informed prior to work commencing. In some cases, blending into adjacent panels may be recommended to improve colour match. This will incur additional cost and will only be undertaken with customer approval.
If a customer declines recommended blending, No Scuffs will not be held liable for colour mismatch. Painting individual panels increases the likelihood of visible colour variance.
No Scuffs does not guarantee that repairs will pass third-party inspection or scrutiny from body shops, insurers, or lease/finance inspectors.
3. Lease & Finance Returns
Whilst lease and finance repairs form a core part of No Scuffs’ services, no guarantee is given that repairs will pass end-of-lease or finance inspections.
Lease inspectors are trained professionals, often with body shop experience, and may identify evidence of aftermarket repairs. No Scuffs accepts no liability for:
Failed inspections
Additional charges applied by lease or finance companies
Any contract for repair is strictly between the customer and No Scuffs.
4. Post-Repair Observations
If rain falls shortly after a repair, temporary water marks may appear. These typically disappear within a few days. If they persist, light polishing may be used to remove them.
5. Estimates & Additional Work
Quotes are provided either:
In person, or
Based on photographs supplied by the customer
All estimates are provisional. If additional damage or previous repair work is identified during the repair, the customer will be informed and approval will be required before proceeding at a revised price.
Customers must disclose any previous repairs to the area being worked on. Failure to do so may:
Void any guarantee
Result in additional charges for rectification
6. Guarantee
No Scuffs guarantees its repair workmanship for 6 months, excluding:
Rust-related repairs
Repairs previously identified as excluded
If a customer is dissatisfied, No Scuffs will:
Rectify the repair, or
Offer a refund at its discretion
If a customer chooses to have work rectified by a third party, No Scuffs’ liability is limited to the original invoiced value of the repair.
The following services are carried out on an “improve only” basis and are not guaranteed:
Touch-ins
Polishing
All repairs are documented from start to finish. Evidence can be provided upon request.
The guarantee:
Is non-transferable
Requires presentation of the original invoice
No claims will be considered without proof of invoice.
Even outside the guarantee period, customers are encouraged to contact No Scuffs to discuss concerns, and reasonable solutions will be sought where possible.
No Scuffs accepts no liability for consequential or indirect losses arising from repairs.
7. Aftercare Responsibilities
Customers must:
Avoid washing the vehicle for 1–2 weeks after repair
Avoid strong or abrasive chemicals on repaired areas
Damage caused by poor or inappropriate aftercare will not be covered under guarantee.
Prior to repair, the vehicle must be clean. This includes:
Wheels free of brake dust for alloy repairs
No tyre shine, silicone, or dressing products present
If additional cleaning is required, a 25% surcharge may apply.
8. Payment Terms
Unless agreed in advance, full payment is due upon completion of work.
Booking fees may be required and are set at the discretion of the director.
9. Booking Fees & Cancellations
A booking fee may be taken to:
Secure appointment time
Purchase required materials
Cancellations require a minimum of 3 days’ notice. Failure to do so will result in loss of the booking fee.
If materials have already been purchased, the booking fee is non-refundable.
10. Weather & Site Conditions
Repairs are weather-dependent. In cases of:
Severe weather
Storm warnings
Heavy rain or strong winds
Customers will be contacted to reschedule. Booking fees will be retained and transferred to the rescheduled appointment.
If No Scuffs attends an appointment and the site is deemed unsafe or unsuitable to carry out repairs, the booking fee will be non-refundable due to loss of time and travel costs. Alternative arrangements may be discussed.
No Scuffs reserves the right to cancel or reschedule repairs due to:
Weather
Unsafe working conditions
Unforeseen circumstances
11. Fitting of Pattern, Second-Hand, or Used Parts
Where new parts are unavailable, pattern, second-hand, or used parts may be fitted at the customer’s request and strictly on a no-guarantee basis.
Pattern parts may have inferior quality, fitment, or materials compared to OEM parts. No Scuffs does not guarantee:
Fitment
Performance
Longevity
Labour charges remain payable regardless of outcome.
12. Third-Party Referrals
At times, customer details may be passed to trusted partner companies. Any work undertaken is strictly between the customer and the third party. No Scuffs accepts no liability for third-party services.
13. Acceptance of Terms
It is the customer’s responsibility to read and understand these Terms & Conditions. Failure to do so does not invalidate them.
